the past couple of days olivia, my dog, has been waking me up at the ungodly hour of 8 AM to feed her. the one benefit of this, because i am in no way productive this early in the morning, was finding out that god's gift to the 90s, the show that taught my generation about true love, friendship, growing up, and that when you're home alone you don't have to wear pants, boy meets world, plays from 8:30-9:30 on ABC Family.
with the anticipation of the show's upcoming sequel, i found it only fitting to catch up on the lives of cory, shawn, topanga, and mr. feeny. as much as i loved this show and have fond memories of how funny i thought it was as a kid, i forgot about all of the actual life lessons delivered through cheesy sitcom-y dialogue, some of which, surprisingly, stuck. those of us who grew up with boy meets world will never forget mr. feeny's never ending supply of wisdom, in and out of john adams high, about being a good person and making the right choices, or topanga's theory about fate when it comes to true love.
